Every single day, the American Red Cross helps people in emergencies. Whether its one displaced family, thousands of disaster victims, or providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran; Providing lifesaving blood to our communities, our vital work is made possible by people like you. It is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.
Currently we need individuals familiar with Relationship Management Software and/or Human Resource Information Systems experience, who are interested in becoming familiar with the Red Cross’s volunteer connection (volunteer management system). Similar to a donor database, volunteer management tools equip you with the tools to track volunteer information, including engagement history, contact information, and more.
A Volunteer Connection Lead works to oversee the utilization and access of Volunteer Connection, works and Supports departments of interest, in their knowledge and understanding of Volunteer Connection.
- Responsibilities:
* Provide expert support and guidance in how to use Volunteer Connection
* Establish an ongoing Volunteer Connection training calendar
* Conduct Volunteer Connection training, using official American Red Cross
training materials for volunteers and volunteer supervisors
* Serve as a Volunteer Connection expert

Description
Since our founding by Clara Barton on May 21, 1881, the American Red Cross has been dedicated to serving people in need. We received our first congressional charter in 1900 and to this day we are tasked by the federal government with providing services to members of the American armed forces and their families as well as providing disaster relief in the United States and around the world.
Today, as throughout our long history, the Red Cross depends on generous contributions of time, blood, and money from the American public to support our lifesaving services and programs.
