Although we are opening remotely due to covid, this is a position where the applicant must reside in Broward County, Florida.
Love INC of Broward is a faith-based nonprofit 501(c)3 that partners with churches in Broward County offering people in need help aimed at transformation and freedom In the Name of Christ so they can overcome poverty. We offer resources by participation, basic life skills, and relationship building. Love INC of Broward is one of over 120 affiliates in 30 states in the U.S. helping over 1 million people yearly by more than 9,000 churches, community agencies, and thousands of volunteers. Our first international affiliate opened in 2015 in Nairobi, Kenya, and has grown to seven affiliates.
How does Love INC work?
The heart of Love INC is the Connect Center. Volunteers receive help requests, conduct intakes and action plans and journey with clients to freedom from poverty and brokenness. Love INC identifies gaps in services and resources and helps churches develop ministries to fill these gaps including Service Projects, Budget Mentoring, Career Mentoring, Personal Care Pantry, and Counseling services.

The Connect Center is the heart of our faith-based nonprofit that provides hope, help, and a hand up to freedom to people facing hardship and financial need.
The Connect Center Coach journeys with their assigned clients from a time of hardship and need through to financial sustainability aimed at lasting change, a transformational difference.
Our program is set up so that each week, you connect with your client and follow the action plan that can include resources, program opportunities, and follow-up on action items that the client completed during the week. These assigned tasks work toward an individual’s long-term goal. The Coach offers prayer and prioritizes the plan for the next week’s activity.
Love INC of Broward, located in the Ft Lauderdale, Florida area, provides Connect Center Coach training to new volunteers, so you are equipped to serve clients.
Skills:
Detail-oriented
Basic computer skills
Active listening skills
Some database experience is helpful but not required
Requirements:
Volunteers weekly
Professing Christian attending a Christian church
Complete training provided free to volunteers
Must live in Broward County, Florida, and attend a church in Broward County
Initial office hours: Thursdays 10 am - 2:30 pm and Thursday evenings, 6-8:30 pm.

- The Connect Center will be open initially on Tuesdays during the day from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. As we grow, we will open up new shifts during the week and evenings for clients that work.
- Must be a professing Christian, detail-oriented, active listening skills, basic computer skills. Volunteer weekly. Must live in Broward County, Florida or attend a church in Broward County, Florida.
