Solarize Indiana is a non-profit organization whose mission is to accelerate the transition to clean energy by increasing the number of solar owners across Indiana. We have had huge success in southern and central Indiana and would like to build that same momentum in a city near you! Solarize Indiana is comprised of local grassroots volunteer teams that help people learn about solar and facilitate group discounts of solar installations. Solarize teams on average more than double the number of solar arrays in a given area. Our motivated local teams publicize and hold information sessions for residents who want to learn more about going solar.

We have volunteer opportunities in marketing and outreach, public speaking, and team management. You don't need to be a solar expert to join one of our teams-- there is a way for everyone to get involved!

About SOLARIZE INDIANA INC

Location:

Mission Statement

Solarize Indiana works to accelerate Indiana’s transition to clean energy by increasing solar electric adoption and by encouraging policy advocacy for clean energy policies across Indiana.

Description

Numerous dedicated, well-trained grassroots Solarize Indiana teams across the state work collaboratively to inform the public about the benefits of installing solar panels. Teams make it easy to go solar by connecting home and business owners with vetted solar installers.

We envision widespread adoption of solar energy systems as the new normal across Indiana homes, businesses, and not-for-profit entities allowing their owners to enjoy:

  • lower electricity costs;
  • freedom from total reliance on electric utility companies;
  • protection against future price increases;
  • rejection of fossil-fuel electricity generation that emits global warming CO2 pollution; and,
  • benefits of amazing, clean, renewable, solar energy
