Love INC of Broward is a faith-based nonprofit 501(c)3 that partners with churches in Broward County offering people in need help aimed at transformation and freedom In the Name of Christ so they can overcome poverty. We offer resources by participation, basic life skills, and relationship building. Love INC of Broward is one of over 120 affiliates in 30 states in the U.S. helping over 1 million people yearly by more than 9,000 churches, community agencies, and thousands of volunteers. Our first international affiliate opened in 2015 in Nairobi, Kenya, and has grown to seven affiliates.
How does Love INC work?
The heart of Love INC is the Connect Center. Volunteers receive help requests, conduct intakes and action plans and journey with clients to freedom from poverty and brokenness. Love INC identifies gaps in services and resources and helps churches develop ministries to fill these gaps including Service Projects, Budget Mentoring, Career Mentoring, Personal Care Pantry, and Counseling services.

Love INC enables churches in a community to pool their resources and services so that people in need are not turned away. As churches join together to show Christ’s love to their neighbors, communities see exciting results.
- People in need receive help from Christians using their gifts and talents.

Someone who is well-suited for this role is kind, nonjudgmental, can set boundaries and provide encouragement, especially in times of difficulty. Our volunteers also offer prayer and a Bible to anyone without one, as well as emotional and spiritual support.
Skills:
Detail-oriented
Basic computer skills
Active listening skills
Some database experience is helpful but not necessary
Requirements:
Volunteers weekly
Professing Christian attending a Christian church
Complete training provided free to volunteers
Does not need to live in Broward County, Florida or attend a church in Broward County, but must attend a church where you reside.
Initial Office hours: Thursdays, 10am - 2:30 pm and Thursday evenings, 6-8:30 pm
