Alternatives to Violence Project

AVP-LA is organizing THREE, completely FREE basic workshops online in the months of December and January.

Workshops take place in a series of either 4 or 8 mini-sessions. Details below:
December workshop (8 mini-sessions, one month): https://bit.ly/avpdecember
January Sat/Sun (8 mini-sessions, one month): https://bit.ly/avpjansat
January Sat/Sun (4 mini-sessions, 2 weeks): http://bit.ly/avpjan2

These workshops also include anonymous participation in a research study on the effectiveness of AVP, and ask that participants complete two questionnaires at the beginning (first session) and end (last session) of the workshop (this time is built into the workshop schedule). Surveys are quick to complete, taking only about 30 minutes total, split between the beginning and end of the workshop. Participants will also have the option of participating in a focus group interview after completing the workshop.

Participants who would like to become a volunteer AVP facilitator, can receive further training (This is the 1st of 3). We facilitate with Adults and Youth in the community as well as with inmates in several prisons in our area (clearance required), CIM, CIW, LAC, CAC and CCI.
