We are 100% volunteers working toward building truly affordable housing and need guidance to make sure we restructure our organization well.
Our goal is to have a community land trust project that can operate with reduced liability to the parent nonprofit, which operates multiple projects. Another project is teaching the public how to build their own houses.

About CARE ASSOCIATION
Location:
1951 Page Street, San Francisco, CA 94117, US
Mission Statement
Care Association plans, develops, and implements innovative strategies to alleviate economic burdens on lower- and middle-income households. We serve households in the United States that pay more than 30% of their gross income on housing or are transient because of lack of affordable housing. With the Care For Us web platform, we aim first to establish connections between households that are unable to compete in inflated real estate markets and homeowners who prefer to offer housing on their own terms. Secondly, we aim to connect and offer goods and services to those in need. Thirdly, we curate information and provide links to resources to inspire and enrich users’ experience.
Description
Care Association is focused on alleviating the economic burdens of low- and middle-income households by creating truly affordable housing. We are currently in the development process of an accessory dwelling unit that will be deeded affordable in Marin County, and provide a prototype for housing that has a low materials cost.
