Share Your Knowledge! Entrepreneurs Needed As Mentors

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: GWINNETT COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY

Did someone help you in starting your business? Consider paying it forward by mentoring someone who wants to build their own business.

The New Start Entrepreneurship Incubator is a business education program offered by the Gwinnett County Public Library. The purpose is to help community members who have served time in jail or prison to create their own business. The program is six months long and consists of a basic business curriculum, monthly talks with local business subject matter experts, and a volunteer mentor - YOU!

Students are matched with an experienced entrepreneur who can offer one-on-one support. Mentors will meet the students at orientation in early January. We ask that Mentors check in at least once a month with their student to see how they are doing and encourage them in their studies and planning. Mentors are welcome to attend the monthly presentations. Ideally, Mentors will live in the Metro Atlanta community.

Mentors can be actively involved in their own business or retired.

Classes start in January, 2021. This course is funded by Google in partnership with the American Library Association.
