Battle Ground HealthCare seeking a front-desk volunteer to work every Tuesday (half or full day depending on availability)Here are the basic duties/requirements: -Able to volunteer every Tuesday during the day (4-8 hrs, depending on availability). Looking for a commitment of at least a year or longer. -Make reminder calls to patients scheduled for clinics during the week -Screen patients for COVID over the phone -Make new appointments -Take messages for clinic staff -Register new patients into medical records system -Update clinic resource files -print patient schedules and have ready for medical staff -Other duties as assigned.

Battle Ground HealthCare (BGHC) is non-profit, free clinic, that provides medical, dental, physical rehabilitation, lifestyle classes and other healthcare services free of charge. We serve people who are uninsured, under-insured and at 300% or below the Federal Poverty Level.
BGHC believes improved health and quality of life are best achieved by meeting physical, mental, and emotional needs. BGHC is predominantly a volunteer clinic; our 120 volunteers include nurses, dietitians, physical therapists, and mental health professionals. In our nine years we have cared for over 2,178 individual patients and provided over 3,868 visits.
Battle Ground HealthCare does not charge for services or receive any federal funding. The clinic is able to provide services because of the generosity of volunteer providers, grants and individual donations.

Orientation or Training
This position will require some orientation time with the current receptionist on Tuesdays. The position requires a minimum of a 4-hour shift each Tuesday and 1 year commitment.
The front-desk volunteer should be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time and have the ability to learn how to use an electronic medical records system for the purpose of scheduling patients.
