More Details...

A chapter is a community-wide branch of The Reclamation Project that works to promote our mission, pillars, and values through various initiatives.

Chapters can choose one or more of TRP's three pillars on which to focus their initiatives and specific mission.

Education: Chapters would partner with schools in their communities to host regular workshops and lessons, plans for which will be provided by TRP's education team and advisory board. These workshops and lessons aim to spark productive dialogues amongst children ages 4-11 on social issues and how to become more informed, anti-biased people.

Advocacy: Chapters would advocate for educational reform within their communities. This includes, but is not limited to, mandated reading lists of diverse texts, recurrent trainings on cultural and racial sensitivity for school staff, etc.

Amplification: Chapters would host events in their communities with the purpose of uplifting the voices of marginalized individuals and promoting empathy and awareness. Types of events could include open mics, webinars, workshops, coffee houses, etc.

Why should you start a chapter for TRP?

We provide several resources to help you get started, ranging from guides on how to become a leader, to step-by-step instructions on how to coordinate successful and engaging events within your community!

By starting a chapter, you will be connected to an international youth coalition wherein you can build new friendships, network with some incredible people, and find support within like-minded people!

Becoming a chapter lead for TRP allows you to spearhead critical initiatives that can foster real social change within your community, which can truly be an incredibly rewarding experience.
