Information about the Chapter Lead position
More Details...A chapter is a community-wide branch
- Oversee, lead, and host weekly meetings with chapter members
- Recruit and onboard chapter members
- Coordinate and plan initiatives that fall under TRP's three core pillars of education, advocacy, and amplification
- Regularly update assigned regional lead on chapter progress
- Estimated workload: 3-5 hours per week
- Application deadline: Dec. 21

Chapters can choose one or more of TRP's three pillars on which to focus their initiatives and specific mission.
Education: Chapters would partner with schools in their communities to host regular workshops and lessons, plans for which will be provided by TRP's education team and advisory board. These workshops and lessons aim to spark productive dialogues amongst children ages 4-11 on social issues and how to become more informed, anti-biased people.
Advocacy: Chapters would advocate for educational reform within their communities. This includes, but is not limited to, mandated reading lists of diverse texts, recurrent trainings on cultural and racial sensitivity for school staff, etc.
Amplification: Chapters would host events in their communities with the purpose of uplifting the voices of marginalized individuals and promoting empathy and awareness. Types of events could include open mics, webinars, workshops, coffee houses, etc.Why should you start a chapter for TRP?
We provide several resources to help you get started, ranging from guides on how to become a leader, to step-by-step instructions on how to coordinate successful and engaging events within your community!
By starting a chapter, you will be connected to an international youth coalition wherein you can build new friendships, network with some incredible people, and find support within like-minded people!
Becoming a chapter lead for TRP allows you to spearhead critical initiatives that can foster real social change within your community, which can truly be an incredibly rewarding experience.

We are a youth-led organization aiming to foster generations of informed, empowered, and anti-prejudiced people through education, advocacy, and amplification.
Led by youth, The Reclamation Project is a nonprofit organization that aims to foster generations of informed, empowered, anti-prejudiced people through education, advocacy, and amplification. The organization has its roots in Toronto, Canada and since it’s conception in March of 2020 has grown its following to over 22,000 with over 70 members of Gen-Z on staff. The first issue of The Radical was released in September of 2020 and featured over a dozen Gen-Z artists and writers.
The Reclamation Project is working towards 501-c3 nonprofit status and is currently run entirely on donations. We are also developing free resources for educators such as workshop templates and lesson plans to be released by the end of 2020. Staff members are all volunteers working towards the mission and vision of the organization.
