The LCWTA and Tri-State Fostering are collecting "Secret Santa Stockings" for children in foster care.
You can become one of Santa's elves by donating premade stockings purchased from a store or ones you’ve created.
Drop off locations: Baton Rouge: All YMCA locations Central: Zoar Baptist Church Hammond: Southeastern’s Biology Dept (Thelma Ryan Hall) & LCWTA (White Hall) Walker: Walker Baptist Church & Southeastern’s Livingston Center
You may also send your tax deductible donation to the Tri-State Fostering's team via mail or Venmo (See flyer for more information)! Be sure to let them know if there’s a specific age group you’d like to sponsor with your donation.

To provide a comprehensive array of training and professional development opportunities to child welfare staff and stakeholders. Stakeholders include foster parents, mental health providers, various medical and educational professionals, law enforcement and other legal professionals, as well as child welfare staff.
Description
The Louisiana Child Welfare Training Academy was established in the Summer of 2014 and is housed at Southeastern Louisiana University. The Academy will ensure that child welfare staff and stakeholders will have a fundamental and common base of knowledge and skills necessary to effectively intervene within the child welfare system.
