Please Note: Volunteer Match Doesn’t Provide the Option to put up exact dates that we need volunteers, only a range. Our Gift Wrap Store will be Open Thursday 12/3- Sunday 12/6, Thursday 12/10 - Sunday 12/13 & Thursday 12/17 till Thursday 12/24 (Christmas Eve). Also, we use another site for shift sign up, hence us not doing it on this site.
Since UCAAN (United Cancer Advocacy Action Network) was started in 2009, we've always loved the holiday season and wrapping gifts for those in our community (Ventura County, CA).
2020 is different, due to the pandemic and the shut downs in California, one of our board members (Who lives in Las Vegas) and a long-time friend of mine (Since high school), suggested we come to Henderson to offer our holiday gift wrapping service. Because we’re A National organization and have helped over 1,000 cancer patients in Nevada over the years, we thought it would be a great way to impact more lives.
It's always been a fun & uplifting experience and we're looking for some fabulous gift-wrapping elves to connect with this season!
I started UCAAN in 2009 after my own personal battle with rare terminal cancer twice. I have since dedicated my life to this cause to help focus on cancer patients as opposed to research. The vital needs of cancer patients, the resources, the information they never get anywhere else. We focus on bridging that gap! To date, UCAAN has impacted the lives of 10,500 Cancer Patients Nationwide in 11 years. We hope that if you volunteer with us this holiday season that you may consider donating your time throughout the year, if not we understand. :)
We will be offering our holiday gift wrapping services at The Galleria at Sunset (1300 W. Sunset Road in Henderson, NV) from December 3rd till December 24th. Because it’s our first-time offering Holiday Gift Wrapping at this mall, especially during a pandemic we are unsure of how busy it will be and hope that you will be patient with us, especially during your shift. We do all we can to keep you busy!

"While all of the other organizations are raising money for research, who is helping the patients? The reality is that while research has progressed and we have discovered treatments to prolong a cancer patients life, survivors are living longer lives with a worsened quality of life. There are more side effects that are making a cancer patients’ quality of life even more difficult. These side effects include but are not limited to brain damage, memory problems, infertility, degenerative disc disease, deterioration of teeth & jaw bones, congestive heart failure, and post traumatic stress disorder! "

- Please be reliable, the ability to follow directions, on-time (we suggest arriving a few minutes prior to your shift so you can make sure you find us and are ready, when your shift starts, we also love people who have fun while wrapping.
