We are needing facilitators to host our Book Study groups. These groups are focused on working through books that address recovery from abuse, sexual trauma and related issues that our program addresses. this volunteer opportunity is new for us. One book study lasts several weeks, and you are responsible for reading the book in preparation for the group and having questions in place to discuss for each chapter. Generally the discussion looks at what stood out about the chapter, and then 2-3 questions to discuss as they apply to the chapter. Groups are set at a pre-assigned time weekly throughout the book study. 10 hours of orientation and classroom training, group training as well as a background check (volunteer pays) must be completed to volunteer with facilitation of our groups. This volunteer opportunity is a 10 month commitment.
