Fortitude Careers

  • 1 person is interested

Fortitude is a new, youth focused, skills training nonprofit. We have worked hard to ensure that our program has a solid foundation. We obtained full 501c3 status from the IRS in a record setting 7 days, and believe that the program is structured for success. Because there are always legalities that need to be obeyed, we would be enormously grateful for any legal volunteers who are willing to help out. Remote work, anytime hours - please let us know if you can help?

About Fortitude Careers

425A Oak Ave, Redwood City, CA 94061, US

Mission Statement

Fortitude is a comprehensive youth and community development program that addresses several core community issues: job readiness, employment, mental health challenges, diminishing crime and poverty, and individual leadership development. It addresses the status of unemployed youth who have no clear path to a productive future to support their lives, families, and contribute to their communities

Fortitude is a program in service to the community, in which young people learn the skills to build a career in the construction field, and have the opportunity to develop those skills by building "ADU’s" (accessory dwelling units or tiny houses). The ADU’s will be offered to municipalities (in accordance with established regulations,) to be used as housing for those experiencing homelessness and other low-income people, often serving beneficiaries from the types of communities where the participants themselves have grown up.
