Sodality Respite Incorporated. was founded with the goal of providing health and hospice care to homeless and vulnerable persons in Richmond and the Tri-Cities areas. We have recently revamped our program and we have broken our organization up into 2 divisions: Sodality Respite Inc Hospice Care for Homeless Division and Sodality Respite Inc Home Hospice Agency Division.

We desire to help terminally ill individuals live and die with dignity in a true home environment, surrounded by love, laughter and compassion up through the final stage of life.

Right now we are at the accreditation portion of our project and we REALLY need some sizeable grants because we are mandated to care for 5 patients for FREE to demonstrate our ability to provide efficient, effective hospice care before MEDICARE will allow us to bill for the hospice services. At this point--we will need money to pay the staff (RN, NP, MD, Chaplain, Dietician, Social Worker, Aides) for providing the services, purchase medications (oxygen, pain medications, comfort kits, etc.) as they relate to the hospice diagnosis AND any supplies the patient may need i.e. diapers, wipes, skin care.

We have done EVERYTHING we need to get this organization up and going. CEO is working on this FULL TIME and is ALL IN to work with the grant writer to supply data, pictures and any other information that will be needed to complete the research process and make sure that we can have a successful grant writing program with positive fiscal outcomes.
