Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington

Image_202007310824

Join a fun and fast-paced team at St. Vincent Centers Food Bank. We need three volunteers to register incoming clients on Friday mornings at the drive-up Food Bank. You will be outside for your service, so you will need to wear warm clothing. Your assignment will be to check clients' identification; record their names, number of people in the household, and whether they are a new or returning client; then have them prepare to receive their boxes. It is helpful if you can speak Spanish, but not required.

The weekly shift is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

There will be a health screening before each shift and masks are mandatory.

Mission Statement

Motivated by Christ's love, we bring hope to life, especially for those most in need.

Description

YOU ARE CATHOLIC CHARITIES. YOUR CARING AND GENEROSITY BRINGS HOPE TO LIFE FOR THOSE MOST IN NEED.

Often we are blind to the needs right here in our own communities. People hurting or struggling don’t always know where to turn for help. That is why Catholic Charities provides specialized services to people of all faiths, to make sure Central Washington families can find the support they need to bring hope back to their lives. Helping the most vulnerable among us, Catholic Charities is the compassionate face of Jesus to nearly 50,000 people throughout Central Washington each year. The challenge to serve our brothers and sisters comes from Jesus in Matthew 25: "Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me."
