eCYBERMISSION is recruiting volunteers to virtually judge middle school student STEM projects for a National STEM Competition as Virtual Judges.

eCYBERMISSION, an Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) project, is an annual web-based STEM competition for 6th to 9th grade students that promotes teamwork, self-discovery, and the real-life applications of STEM. Teams of 3 to 4 students, with the help of a Team Advisor, create projects that identify and solve problems in their community while competing for State, Regional, and National Awards.

Virtual Judges are supporters of STEM education or students (18+) studying STEM. The Virtual Judge role is ideal for volunteers with a background or interest in STEM or Education, who prioritize making an impact on the lives of students, and need a flexible, compact window of time to volunteer.

Virtual Judges encourage students to continue on the path towards a STEM career through supporting innovation, creativity, and excellence in education by reviewing and evaluating Mission Folders. Virtual Judges provide comments, and scores on 10-15 Mission Folders.

  • Provide comments and independently score 10-15 Mission Folders (student team submissions) online
  • Promote STEM education to students all over the United States and highlight the importance of STEM on a global scale
  • Discover how Next Generation Science Standards are shaping real-world problems and solutions

  • Evaluate, comment, and score 10-15 Mission Folders online during the competition time period.
  • March 16-31, 2021, 5-10 hours (approximately 1 hour per submission) during the day and/or evening.

Accept the challenge, visit www.ecybermission.com/register and join the mission to promote STEM education and help support the over 18,000 middle school students across the nation competing in the competition.

Registration deadline is March 12, 2021.

Call Mission Control at 1-866-GO-CYBER (462-9237) or email volunteerprogram@ecybermission.com for more information.

Students compete for State, Regional, and National Awards.

eCYBERMISSION is one of several science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) initiatives offered by the Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP). Administered by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), eCYBERMISSION is committed to answering the nation's need for increased national STEM literacy and expanding STEM education opportunities across the country to open doors to new career paths for America’s students that lead to a brighter tomorrow.
