Hello,
We are a school-based non-profit providing group and individual counseling services to the highest needs students wrapped up in the school discipline system. At this unprecedented time of covid and virtual schooling, our staff are working hard to reach out to families and students and provide mental health services. One of our staff is running in to language barriers when speaking with a family that speaks Pashto. We are looking for a volunteer to be on 3-way calls and help translate between the staff and parents. There will be no counseling or sensitive subjects discussed in these calls. These are simply calls to establish any physical needs the families may have, as well as get contact info for the students so that the staff can provide virtual counseling services to the students. The hours would vary but are mostly during the school day or early evening.
