SouthernCare Hospice in New Albany is looking for passionate Veteran or Active Duty volunteers to provide support for/honor our hospice Veterans. Patients may reside in their home, or in a long-term health care facility.
Duties may include:
-Officiating pinning ceremonies to acknowledge the military service and sacrifices made by the Veteran and their family. These ceremonies gives an opportunity for each veteran to share part of his/her story.
-Visiting our Veteran patients to provide support via storytelling and companionship.
