With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic raging across the United States, one of the groups most vulnerable to contracting the disease are those who are experiencing homelessness. Every day, our team conducts outreach to those who are living on the streets and distributes hygiene kits, which include such necessities as toothpaste, deodorant, and shampoo, as well as items that are now more important than ever: hand sanitizer, masks, and sanitizing wipes. The hygiene kits you donate may be truly life-saving for someone living on the street without regular access to these necessities.
You may choose to simply donate materials for hygiene kits yourself, or you can host a donation drive through your office, church, youth group, or other community that you are a part of.
To get started, hit the "I Want to Help" button above to indicate your interest, and we will send you information regarding which items to include in your hygiene kits, as well as information regarding how to deliver or mail these kits.

Downtown Streets Team's mission is to build Teams that restore dignity, inspire hope, and provide a pathway to recover from homelessness. Team Members volunteer their time to help beautify their community, and in exchange for their work they receive employment specialist and case management services to help them meet their goals, as well as a non-cash stipend to help them cover basic needs as they get back on their feet. We believe that the dignity our Teams provide is a powerful tool to motivate Team Members to be a part of their own solution. In the words of one of our Team Members, DST is a win-win-win situation: it's a win for the Team Member, a win for the community, and a win for the environment. Come join us in breaking down barriers and ending homelessness one day at a time!

Our Teams restore dignity, hope, and purpose to the lives of folks who are experiencing or at risk for homelessness while challenging perceptions of homelessness in their community.
