Want to get involved with CHS and see history close-up? We are seeking volunteer gallery attendants for an upcoming exhibition. CHS is excited to host a traveling exhibit, "Freedom Journey 1965: Photographs of the Selma to Montgomery March by Stephen Somerstein", from the New-York Historical Society, from January 28 through June 5, 2021.

Volunteer gallery attendants monitor the exhibit space in approximately 2.5 hour shifts. CHS gallery open hours are Tuesdays-Fridays Noon-5pm and Saturdays 9am-5pm.

- Choose your days and hours - as many or as few days as you would like.
- Volunteering with a friend is welcome.
- Students may bring and work on homework when there are no visitors in the space.
- Volunteers will receive two free admission tickets to the museum and a discount on purchases at our store to be used at their choice of time.

No expertise or previous experience will be required and all applicable training will be provided. Please contact Susan Presutti by November 27, 2020 at susan_presutti@chs.org.

Health and safety is paramount at CHS. We have carefully thought out and executed Covid-19 precautions that are fully compliant with Connecticut rules. All staff, volunteers and visitors wear masks and maintain 6 feet from other people. The number of visitors allowed in the building is limited so as to maintain distances at all times.
