Seeking full day long animal care supervisors, one time per week, either on a Monday, a Thursday OR a Friday. This exciting position allows you to work with both animals and people. Responsibilities will include briefing both shifts during the day regarding changes from the prior week, overseeing volunteer tasks, answering questions, implementing additional projects, assisting the operations manager or executive director with medical rounds or other tasks/projects.
For everything you need to know about our organization, please see our website at www.westplace.org.
The animal care supervisor position is a full day, but once a week only. This rewarding opportunity allows you to spend a full day around the animals and really get to know them. You will also get to know the important workings of our organization, much more so than our standard 3-hour general volunteer shifts.
You will also have the chance to oversee our educational interns from high school and college, who are with us to get experience in various fields for future careers. Our two educational internship programs are wonderful ways to give students hands-on learning to which they would otherwise not have access. Our programs are always in demand. You would be properly trained on how to work properly within the parameters of what each student requires.
(please do note that this is a volunteer position, it is not paid).
Thank you and we hope to hear from you!
