Up to 40% of food feeds landfills while thousands of individuals are hungry and food insecure in Southern Massachusetts. That’s where Rescuing Leftover Cuisine steps in. Volunteer as a FOOD RESCUER to rescue surplus food from businesses and deliver it to nonprofits that serve the underserved:

1. Sign up: www.rescuingleftovercuisine.org/volunteer
2. Click the avatar to go to your dashboard.
3. Under "Welcome Aboard," click the links to the online Orientation (takes about 20 minutes to complete).
4. Upon completion of your orientation, your Rescuer Account is automatically activated (you will receive an email confirmation).
5. Sign up for your first Rescue Event

FEED PEOPLE, NOT LANDFILLS.

• All Ages encouraged!
• No minimum time commitment is required: volunteer one-time, sporadically or on a recurring basis.
• Daily volunteering opportunities to choose from morning, afternoon and night throughout Rhode Island; and the Northeastern, MetroWest and SouthCoast areas of Massachusetts.
• FulfillCommunity Service Hours: Documentation for proof of volunteering is available upon request.
• Safety guidelines are in place to ensure zero person-to-person contact.
• Go solo or as a team of family members, friends, co-workers, etc.
• Rescue via 2 feet, 2 wheels, 4 wheels, or MBTA Subway.
• A typical Rescue Event averages less than one hour of volunteering time.
• Food Donor Partners include restaurants, hotels, schools, caterers, corporate businesses and others.
• Nonprofit Partners include shelters, soup kitchens and others.
