OUR MISSION : To end injustice by empowering families in need.
Sikhi Alpha is a 501(c)3 non-profit on a mission to work with communities worldwide to end injustice by empowering people and educating people to raise themselves up and become hardworking successful individuals who are able to help others. This process begins by sharing wealth, time and knowledge more effectively to reach those in need 100%.
OUR FOCUS : We are seeking dynamic Volunteers to help out in many areas of the organization. For now, we are focusing on two opportunities listed below, following which volunteers may select a number of interests such as Social Media, Marketing, Fundraising, Administration, Film Projects, Journalism, to name but a few.
Starter opportunities:
- Domestic Violence - For our campaign 'There With You', compile a list of domestic violence shelters in your area, using it to connect and explain our non-profit, our mission, and campaign. We will provide grants that support programs for victims of domestic violence such as employment and IT training, language skills, and health support. - Education - For our campaign 'Equity in Education', compile a list of all Title 1 elementary schools in your area, using it to connect and explain our non-profit, our mission, and campaign. We provide a financial literacy cirriculum (if needed), backpacks and/or school supplies, and Q&A sessions with local university students. Our aim is to provide children with hope that the path to further education does exist, and there can be tremendous value in it. Sikhi Alpha is a non-profit on a mission to work with communities worldwide to end injustice by empowering and educating people to raise themselves up. This process begins by sharing time, information, and knowledge more effectively to reach those in need.
We are guided by our vision to provide basic human survival needs, including fairness, safety, and education in a prejudice free-way.
100% of spending is directed to our causes which allows us to execute our mission by using 100% of donations for our objectives. All of us at Sikhi Alpha are dedicated volunteers who share its goals.
We run dedicated campaigns under 3 themes:
- Fairness - support victims of social discrimination.
- Education - support low income children by providing financial literacy, health education, and school supplies.
- Safety - support victims of domestic violence by providing employment training, education, and health support.
