Duties: Walking dogs, Cleaning soiled kennels, Providing fresh food and water to dogs, Socializing dogs in backyard and visitation room, Assisting with laundry and dishes.
Qualifications: Comfortable removing dogs from their kennels (Use your best judgement based off your abilities). Able to read animal body language, have quick reflexes, and possess strong animal handling skills. Able to read and follow kennel signage, paying close attention to detail. Able to stand on hard concrete floors for periods of time. Able to bend and lift on a regular basis. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to walk dogs outside building.
Commitment: Volunteers are asked to join a dog crew coming on the same day each week or every other week.
