I'm looking for volunteers to make "friendly calls" . We are so excited about matching local area seniors who are currently in independent living, nursing homes or assisted living homes with an RSVP Volunteer who can telephone them with a friendly call each week. We think this will be a great way to help fight isolation, sadness, and even anxiety for our residents who are not able to socialize in the same way since Covid-19 health issues have become a concern. We think there is a definite need for isolated seniors to feel less alone and we know our volunteers are also actively seeking a sense of connection. You must live in Ocean County NJ and be 55 or older to participate in this effort.
