Mission Statement

To promote lifelong learning for today’s underserved youth by bridging educational gaps, setting them towards an achievable career path.

Description

This will be our second year and we are looking to enroll twelve students.

We need volunteer tutors/mentors to help our students. We are using IXL for content. IXL is the world's most popular subscription-based learning site for K-12. Used by over 12 million students, IXL provides personalized learning. It helps students bridge gaps and get them to their grade and level. IXL does a diagnostic test and then provides skills for the student to work on. We need tutors/coaches to help review where they are and mentor them as they work on skills. This is once a week, and the time is flexible. The students are working independently as well.

We were able to successfully help six students achieve their academic levels in our first year.
