Event Description:
You're invited to give back in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Volunteers are needed to assist with mulching to help beautify the area around the park.
Impact:
Mulching plays an important role in well landscaped areas as it controls weed growth, provides moisture for plants, and an overall positive aesthetic look to the park.
Volunteer Duties:
Volunteers will spread mulch around the landscaped areas. Volunteers will help fill wheelbarrows, run wheelbarrows, and dump mulch in identified landscape beds, and rake mulch.
Work Environment:
This project will be outside so we recommend dressing for the weather. There is a possibility of uneven ground. There is a restroom on site.
Requirements:
All volunteers must register. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Each volunteer must sign a release form. Those under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian sign their form.
Other Information:
We will provide tools, gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, and a first aid kit. Volunteers need to wear loose comfortable clothing that can get dirty, and closed-toe shoes. Please bring your own filled water bottle.
COVID-19 Policy:
Volunteers and staff must follow the COVID-19 policies below so that projects are safe for everyone.
