Spanish/ English speaking volunteers. The Pharmacy Interpreter would answer the pharmacy pickup line. This involves asking the patient their name, DOB, phone number, what lane they are in and the color of their car. From there they would go grab the patient's medication bag and hand it to the pharmacist to check. There is minimal technology aside from finding the patient in Athena to confirm their information (they just have to type their name into the computer). However, this position does involve a lot of sitting up and walking around and can get very active on very busy days (in case there are mobility concerns among volunteers). The other thing the interpreter could help is if pharmacy staff need to clarify something with the patient or have questions, they may ask the interpreter to help them with communication.
