We're seeking a Planned Giving Officer (PGO) with knowledge of estate planning, including wills, trusts and estate and gift tax laws. The PGO must have experience with legal recordkeeping requirements for fundraising and documenting donations. Preferred experience is sales, marketing and finance. The required skills include the ability to work independently, research and analysis, goal-setting, communication and project management.
The PGO researches, identifies and contacts planned giving prospects, participates in speaking engagements and planned giving seminars.
Duties include;
Writing correspondence, reports, proposals and marketing materials.
Maintain relationships with existing donors through regular contact, the provision of annual reports and account statements and donor recognition events.
Supervise support staff and oversees the collection and entry of data.
Participate in continuing education to maintain current knowledge.
