Nueva Vision Community School is in search of additional members to it's advisory board! (Advisory board members bare no fiscal responsibility for the nonprofit entity) (Volunteers must reside in California)
If you value the arts and want to play an important role in making music education available to under-resourced communities, this opportunity is for you!
Professional requirements: We ask that volunteers have at least 5 years of professional experience in their field (we are open to all professional experience - e.g. business, media, arts, law, etc.)
Responsibilities: Attend (virtual/in-person) quarterly board member meetings and give feedback on current progress of programs and proposed new programs.
We are a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower the children and youth of the community through music education.
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that believes music is integral for human development. It has been proven that a quality music education develops a child’s critical thinking and leadership skills, enhances learning in other core subjects, improves early cognitive development, and helps develop creativity and social skills. Since 2005, we have been committed to providing free and affordable music education opportunities to the children and youth of the San Fernando Valley. We offer lessons in piano, guitar, drums, voice, and other instruments.
