Provide companionship to a hospice person on your lunch hour, on the weekend, or an evening!
For as little time as a lunch hour a couple of times a month, you can bring joy to a Massillon-Perry resident. One hour is only ONE lunch or coffee break! Our facility patient would appreciate your valuable time.
As a Grace Hospice Volunteer, you will provide companionship and support simply by being present. That's it; a visit or drop-in is all that's needed, all done at the convenience of your schedule. Do you sing, play the guitar or kazoo? Share your talent. If not, just show up and do your thing.
We have an immediate need for a volunteers(s) in Massillon-Perry, but have on-going needs in Canton, Alliance, Dover, and surrounding areas. We'll match you with someone close by, and your required commitment is for the amount of time YOU want and have to offer. It's a win-win for everyone.
To make this kind of difference, contact Johanna Henderson, Volunteer Coordinator at Grace Hospice. 330-899-0180, or jhenderson@ghospice.com.
Thank you,
Johanna Henderson

Description
Hospice is the health care system that mandates the involvement of volunteers. This reflects the history of the hospice movement in the United States, which started as an all-volunteer system.
Hospice is designed to provide comfort care as well as spiritual and emotional support in the final phase of a terminal illness. At HarmonyCares Hospice, we focus on enhancing the quality of life and our Volunteers play a key role in our mission. The hospice philosophy reaches beyond the physical needs of a patient and ensures that a patient spend their final days in comfort and with dignity.
HarmonyCares Hospice volunteers are as diverse as our professional staff. Compassion and caring are the hallmarks of any great hospice volunteer, and their involvement is a vital part of our team.
