During the pandemic, more families and individuals began to grow their own food, empowering themselves to slow down, connect to the earth, and nourish their own families. And now more than ever, we can see and feel the fragilities of our current food system. New Leaf Foods supports the health and well-being of the people of Greater Green Bay by promoting healthy food access and education and by cooperating throughout Northeast Wisconsin to build a thriving local food system in a clean environment. Specifically through our Garden Blitz program, we work to address healthy food access by gathering volunteers to build and install raised bed gardens throughout the community. To date, we have installed over 700 gardens in the Green Bay area! This year, we are dedicated to installing gardens for organizations that empower Black and Indigenous communities, as well as people living with disabilities.

We are looking for community-minded individuals to help sell garden boxes for our Garden Blitz event, which will take place from May 20 - 23, 2021. Aside from boxes that will be installed at low or no cost, we need help selling 35 boxes. Some responsibilities that this entails are:

• Work with website manager to develop the sales of boxes
• Send the weekly report of box sales and maintain the database of garden box purchases
• Work with New Leaf Foods on the receipt of any sale of boxes via a check in the mail, add to database
• Ensure we have all information for all deliveries
• Help with customer service of the boxes to ensure customer satisfaction
• Assist with the development of sales materials and promotion of sales to ensure that we reach our sales goals
• Assist with developing a list of events and activities to sell boxes in the community
• Develop a sales plan with Blitz team
• Keep track of sale dates and receipts
• Develop a survey to track customer satisfaction
• Handle customer complaints
