MOTORCYCLE CLUBS: FUNDRAISING FOR THE LONGEST DAY
Do what you love and help us put an end to Alzheimer's. The Longest Day(r) is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 20, use your motorcycle hobby to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association(r). Here are some fundraising activity ideas motorcycle clubs can use for The Longest Day.

SELL YOUR SPOKES
Sell each of your spokes for $20. In exchange, tie a
purple ribbon on each purchased spoke and include
the name of the friend or family member that your
donor would like to honor.

BARK AND BIKE WASH
In between rides, have a bike and bark washing station.
Offer bike, car and dog washes for a donation.

HOST AN AUCTION
Ask your local dealership to run a special promotion
for The Longest Day. Auction off items such as oil
changes, tune-ups and branded gear.

RECRUIT ON THE ROUTE
Recruit restaurants and gas stations along your route
to donate a portion of their proceeds for the day

BIKES AND MICS
Host a karaoke party. For a donation of $10, riders
have to sing; for a donation of $20, they can back
out of singing!

GET A COMPANY INVOLVED
Ask a local company to match the donations your
team raises, or, see if a company you work for or
frequent would like to make a contribution.

POST-RIDE CELEBRATION
Ask a favorite biker bar or restaurant to host a postride celebration for friends, family and supporters and
donate a portion of the proceeds to your fundraising
efforts. Add a silent auction for additional fundraising
opportunities. You can thank sponsors on signs at
the event.

SHAVE/COLOR/GROW HAIR
If you raise a certain amount ($100, $500, $1,000), you
have to shave your head, mustache, beard or goatee. Or,
if you raise a certain amount you can’t shave or cut your
hair for a month. You could also color your hair purple!

BIKERS AND BAKERS
Host a bake sale to engage your friends and family in
The Longest Day. Add another fundraising component
with a "Pie-in-Face" - sell tickets for a chance to toss
a pie at your favorite biker.

BIKER BBQ
Host a BBQ picnic or sell roadside box lunches or plates
of food. Charge a minimum donation and have offerings
such as beverages, chips and desserts for sale.
