Red Kettle Campaign

Whether you want to ring by yourself or in a group, we welcome your support for our 2020 Red Kettle Campaign!

More than 5,000 communities rely on the money raised from the Red Kettle Campaign for assistance during the holiday season and year-round services. All money collected in a community remains in the same community to best meet local needs.

It's been a difficult year for many of our fellow Floridians. Because of the pandemic, we have experienced an increase in requests for assistance with food, utilities, shelter, and other basics that many of us take for granted. Though the holidays may be a little different this year, we need volunteers to help support our efforts.

You and your family, close friends, colleagues, book club, group or organization can make a huge difference in the lives of your neighbors by volunteering together. Here are three ways you can help those facing hardship in your community:

  • Volunteer to Ring the Bell by selecting a shift by going to www.registertoring.com!
  • Accept the #RedKettleChallenge
  • Call if you would like to Adopt-A-Kettle

About The Salvation Army

Location:

1625 N. Belcher Road, Clearwater, FL 33765, US

Mission Statement

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. It's message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Description

Last year, The Salvation Army in Clearwater and Upper Pinellas County served 51,609 individuals through a wide variety of programs and services, including utility and food assistance.

We visited 9,057 people in hospitals, nursing homes and elderly residential homes to let them know that their community cares for them.

We served 26,798 people during the holiday season, may through our Angel Tree program which provides toys and clothing for children who may otherwise go without at Christmas.

Our wonderful volunteers gave 15,570 hours of their time to help us serve their neighbors in need.

In addition to these programs, The Salvation Army continues doing the most good for Upper Pinellas County through youth character-building activities, summer camp, outreach, and various other programs.

Volunteers from all walks of life strongly support The Salvation Army in almost all of its activities. Their time and commitment are essential to the success of the organization. The millions of volunteers who function as part of the Army's ministry each year enhance the effectiveness of Army programs and services.
