Title: Legal Director
This position is led by Megan McInnis
and is part of the Board and Legal Committee.
Job Description: Oversee the intellectual property and contractual needs of Doing Good and its programs.
Time Involved : Approximately 4 hours monthly including the monthly one-hour committee meeting. Will be held online for the remainder of the year through COVID-19 recovery.
Activities:
- Serve as liaison with IP Lawyer and Executive Director.
- Serve on the Board of Directors for Doing Good.
- Give legal updates at Board Meetings and Participate in Board Meetings.
- Lead and oversee the Legal Committee for Doing Good.
- Lead ongoing efforts and additional legal possibilities for the organization (Doing Good) and its activities.
- Strategize legal ideas with Executive Director, the Board, Doing Good Committees, and Volunteers and partner to implement the ideas.
- Use Google Drive.
Events: (Tentatively or online through COVID-19 recovery this year)
- Participate in monthly Legal Committee meeting to share, discuss, strategize, plan, and carry out Doing Good legal activities. Meeting is held via conference call.
Responsibilities
- Strategize ideas with Doing Good Committees, Board, & Executive Director.
- Implement these ideas.
- Cross-promote Doing Good activities.
