The American Red Cross in Nevada collaborates with a variety of partners to deliver services to those affected by disasters such as home fires and floods. The Nevada state government is one of those partners. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to be trained in our government operations program and act as a liaison between the Red Cross and the state government during a disaster response. You will help ensure the Red Cross and our government partners are on the same page, work directly with emergency management agencies in Nevada, and assist with our government relations program.
This work is currently being done virtually, and the time commitment will generally be 5-10 hours per month after your training is completed (but may require more work during major disaster relief operations). If you are interested in learning more about, or have a background in, emergency management, community relations, disaster relief, and public relations, this would be an excellent opportunity!
