The Friends of the Alameda Free Library is so appreciative to the wonderful response via Volunteer Match. Our volunteer needs have been met for the present but we will be posting more as they become available.
We anticipate to being to relaunch our programs in 2022 and once Covid protocols allow we will be resuming in person events and will need folks to assist on site with our events and book sales. We also have a Cafe-Bookstore at the library and when we resume operations will welcome new volunteers there as well.
Since Covid 19, our programs have gone online and virtual including our Online Book Store.
We are also beginning to accept book donations in limited quantities that need scanning, sorting and pricing.
Our Volunteers currently assist us in our warehouse with sorting and pricing books, posting them in our online store, coordinating with a outside book vendor and coordinating pick up and deliveries in the city of Alameda.
