Do you enjoy being around horses? Do you want to learn about horses and what it takes to keep a ranch running? If so, this may be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.
The Armed Services YMCA San Diego provides programs for active duty military families at our Horse of the Sun Ranch, located about 45 miles east of San Diego in Pine Valley.
We are seeking volunteers who will assist paid ASYMCA staff members with general ranch chores which may include cleaning stalls, removing manure, feeding/watering horses, and other minor maintenance tasks.
We prefer that those interested volunteer on a recurring basis to minimize training needs.
We have volunteer openings 9 a.m.-Noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and 8 a.m.-11 a.m. on Saturdays. You will self-schedule when you volunteer.
We will comply with all COVID-19 requirements in effect at the time you volunteer.
