Digital Graphic Illustrator Volunteer

Milwaukee Pets Alive isn’t just another rescue. We are here to shape rescue. Join us in this specialized role as a Digital Graphic Illustrator!

We are looking for a Digital Graphic Illustrator with a special interest and talent in drawing animals to help build our MPA merchandise collection. Limited-color graphic drawings will be needed for screen printing production. Knowledge of Illustrator or similar vector-based illustration programs required. Photoshop, InDesign experience a plus.

The Digital Graphic Illustrator Volunteer will work in collaboration with MPA Executive Director and other MPA Graphic Designer Volunteers on our merchandise line and any other materials or projects that promote the work and mission of the organization utilizing this special skill.

Time commitment will be as-needed (when graphics for one of the aforementioned purposes are needed).

Certain graphic work will be needed on timelines according to production needs/fundraisers/events, etc. but that work is accomplished around the Digital Graphic Illustrator Volunteer's own schedule - work on volunteer tasks when it’s convenient for you from home or anywhere!

Must be motivated, and a self-starter with initiative and drive and the ability to work independently. Individual must be able to follow through on their commitments. Attention to detail, quality, and consistent organizational messaging is critical. Ability to communicate well and in a timely manner with other team members for successful execution of projects is necessary. MPA is looking for a volunteer to fill this role who recognizes the importance of working on behalf of the special animals we serve and will work hard for them as they are counting on us to save their lives!

Milwaukee Pets Alive is an all-volunteer, No Kill, 501c3 non-profit organization that focuses on saving those animals that have been passed over by, or would not be accepted into, other rescues and shelters and would have no other option for life except for through our organization. These animals may be shy, scared, under-socialized, injured, aged, differently-abled, or need extra medical resources - all deserve the chance to be loved and cherished. Their lives are important. We couldn’t help these special animals of our community that we do if not for the wonderful people who volunteer their time and talents!
