About OneOC
Our mission is to accelerate nonprofit success. OneOC envisions a community in which nonprofits possess an abundance of resources, skills, and connections to effectively deliver on their missions. We do this by:
Reimagining the way volunteers engage at all levels within nonprofit organizations
Simplifying how companies and their employees' find opportunities to partner with nonprofits to address community needs
Serving as a content expert and delivery system for government-funded community initiatives
Building and strengthening community connections for a greater impact
Skills-Based Volunteerism (SBV) / THRIVE Program
Less than 15% of nonprofits have the tools to effectively leverage volunteers strategically across their organizations. Conversely, the COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that more individuals want to volunteer with nonprofits than ever before. OneOC has seen an uptick in the number of individuals that have signed up through our Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC). Since March 2020, OneOC has recruited over 3,000 volunteers, and mobilized over 2,500 through a variety of one-time, episodic, and skills-based volunteer opportunities across over 75 Orange County nonprofits.
A recent survey of Orange County nonprofit CEOs demonstrates a willingness to utilize and an apparent need for skills-based volunteers to provide clinical, technical, and administrative support to their respective organizations.
To meet this need, OneOC is recruiting skills-based volunteers through its THRIVE program, serving as skills-based volunteer trainers, coaches, and team-based consultants to provide support to our expanding network of nonprofits in need.
OneOC SBV coaches, trainers, and consultants will be on-boarded to effectively understand the OneOC brand and service delivery method. If the SBV has interest in service delivery for Service Enterprise, they will be trained on this by OneOC staff using a train-the-trainer model. SBV consultants that wish to help an organization more holistically or through a team-based approach will placed on a THRIVE team with other SBV consultants that possess complimentary skills-sets. THRIVE teams will be managed until the supervision of the Organizational Development Services (ODS) Director and will be treated as an extension of OneOC.
Please express interest below to begin the process of joining a OneOC THRIVE Team. We look forward to working with you!
