To promote access to healthy food to families in Wards 7 & 8 Martha's Table has a full service no-cost Grocery Markets at our locations in SE and NW open from 11:00am - 4:00pm for shoppers.
As a volunteer you'll join our team at our headquarters in Southeast, DC. to help set up and operate the market, assist volunteers with shopping from a menu of vegetables, fruits, and pantry items, maintain inventory, unload delivery trucks, build pre-packaged grocery bags, and general maintenance.
This is a front facing activity with direct interaction with community members. This event is filled with vibrant produce, music and lots of fun! If you want to bring a few friends, this opportunity is great for groups.

We were born from humble beginnings on 14th Street NW as a safe space for children to access after-school meals. Today, we support strong children, strong families, and strong communities by operating nationally accredited education programs beginning at birth; fighting for food justice and increasing access to healthy meals and fresh produce for over 15,000 residents; and promoting family success through our no-cost community store and engagement programs.
