To meet the increased needs of our community during the COVID-19 pandemic, and subsequent school closures, Martha's Table distributes bags of groceries at its Southeast headquarters, Northwest location, and other designated meal distribution sites.

As a volunteer, you'll join our team at our headquarters in Southeast, DC to help build bags with a menu of fresh, vibrant produce and healthy pantry items. We are pre-packaging thousands of bagged groceries daily so guests can quickly grab food at our sites. Volunteers will also help break things down and sanitize the bagging space.

This is a behind-the-scenes event, there will be no distribution or community interaction by volunteers. Yet we will still have music and a ton of fun! If you want to bring a few friends, this opportunity is great for groups.

Ready to sign up? Fantastic! Visit our volunteer calendar at marthastable.volunteerhub.com TODAY!

About Martha's Table

Location:

2375 Elvans Road SE, WASHINGTON, DC 20020, US

Mission Statement

At Martha’s Table, we believe that every Washingtonian deserves the opportunity to thrive. We support strong children, strong families, and strong communities by increasing access to quality education, health and wellness, and family resources.

Description

We were born from humble beginnings on 14th Street NW as a safe space for children to access after-school meals. Today, we support strong children, strong families, and strong communities by operating nationally accredited education programs beginning at birth; fighting for food justice and increasing access to healthy meals and fresh produce for over 15,000 residents; and promoting family success through our no-cost community store and engagement programs.
