Ki Culture is a social impact nonprofit (start-up) based in Amsterdam. Our organization is looking for a Social Media Manager to add to our growing team. Our work culture is collaborative, dynamic and fun, and our team is very dedicated to fulfilling the mission of Ki Culture, of promoting sustainability through culture.

We're seeking a social media manager to join our team on a volunteer basis with potential for part- or full-time employment. We are primarily interested in managers with social media experience, but this is also a great opportunity for a student or recent graduate who is looking to put their social media knowledge into practice.


ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate has a deep working knowledge of various social media networks including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and scheduling platforms. The manager is responsible for overseeing the team and working closely with our Director of Brand & Digital Strategy to ensure tone, branding and messaging is consistent across all platforms, but tailored to our target audiences. The candidate should have social media experience as well as be comfortable with managing a team of five. We’re looking to boost engagement and reach amongst our key audiences, and ultimately provide leads for our fundraising and communications team. We are currently developing our VSG and social media guidelines and would welcome the expertise from our new social media manager.

  • Ability to develop and execute an effective social media strategy that is coherent with our mission and business goals.
  • Ability to coordinate various social media platforms and networks to effectively create emotional resonance, elevate brands and campaigns and digital work.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the creative team, communications team, and administrative team members - including copywriters, newsletter and website and design team.
  • Always on the lookout for ways to streamline processes & reduce friction with the team.
  • Experience analyzing performance and leveraging data to optimize strategy.
  • Be self-sufficient and able to problem solve and manage timelines on your own - speak back to project requirements and find alternate solutions when hitting roadblocks.
  • Discuss and be eager for feedback on content.
  • Ability to communicate effectively Ki Culture’s brand, services and mission.
  • Ability to participate in collaborative meetings and conversations internally and externally.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop a social media strategy catering to our different audience targets and platforms.
  • Create effective content, copy and imagery, and overarching campaign strategy.
  • Create, manage and execute a social media calendar.
  • Keep visual identity consistent across platforms considering tone may vary by target.
  • Implement best practices for social media.
  • Asset management and distribution.
  • Q/A work against project specs proactively searching for errors like spelling mistakes, omitted or incorrect information, sizing errors, technical file issues, etc.
