If you’re a skilled graphic designer who is passionate about eradicating education inequality, keep reading! Oppia is looking for a fast-paced designer to assist our Lesson Creation team with creating fun, engaging graphics to accompany our upcoming lessons.

Who We Are

The Oppia Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission to provide high quality education to all. We do this through the creation and maintenance of our platform, Oppia , the coordination of our passionate contributors, and the development of critical partnerships with NGOs in the communities we aim to serve.

Where You Fit In

Millions of children are not receiving the education they deserve. Of the 61 million children worldwide who cannot attend primary school, 17 million will never step foot into a school if trends continue. With the presence of COVID-19 today, millions more children are also seeing interruptions in their daily lives, stability, and education - making it even more difficult than before for many students to get the education they need to succeed.

It is an exciting time for Oppia - as we're currently on the brink of releasing our first comprehensive, basic mathematics curriculum, and we're also launching a whole section of the website highlighting this curated set of lessons! While we're most of the way there, we need illustrators and graphic designers to help us finish the last couple of lessons to round out the full curriculum. In the future, we'll be building out even more fun and exciting lessons in other subjects as well - like English, Science, Financial Literacy, and more!

We are looking for a graphic or visual designer who can help us build fun and engaging stories for our learners of all ages using graphic design and illustration. We pride ourselves on building out lessons that make learning fun and appealing for our learners, and a big part of that is because of our lesson illustrations! We welcome those who are willing to learn and grow through this opportunity, although we want to focus most of all on a fast-paced, iterative approach to design and experimentation.
