Crime Stoppers of Minnesota

  • 5 people are interested

As an all volunteer nonprofit we seek Board Members who have the ability to invest time (60-90 minutes per week) and talents to extend our financial support (create fundraising ideas/events), build and maintain awareness and relationships with stakeholders (Chiefs of Police, Sheriffs, Investigators, news reporters, professional law enforcement organizations). Ability needed to talk with and write to stakeholders expressing an understanding of how our mission and operations meet the needs of those stakeholders will give you satisfaction that the safety of communities across Minnesota is being helped.

About Crime Stoppers of Minnesota

Location:

9036 Grand Av. S., Bloomington, MN 55420, US

Mission Statement

Crime Stoppers of Minnesota’s mission is to assist law enforcement in solving crimes with the help of anonymous tips provided by members of the general public. We seek to make the neighborhoods and communities a safer place to live and work. We provide the people of Minnesota with a safe alternative to silence.

Description

Crime Stoppers of Minnesota provides the public with the ability to submit information about crimes and fugitives in a manner that keeps them anonymous, and offers a cash reward for information when it leads to a felony arrest. We submit those tips to law enforcement agencies across the entire State of Minnesota for investigation. We are an all-volunteer organization using advanced technology to receive tips, forward them to law enforcement, communicate anonymously with tipsters, as well as conduct all other operational functions of a nonprofit organization. Our Board members are doers to help us operate as a responsible nonprofit and critical thinkers to keep us viable to our stakeholders of the public, law enforcement and the media.
