Meal delivery - We are looking to recruit volunteers that can devote a minimum of 1 day a week (10:30am-12:00pm) delivering Meals on Wheels in Hudson, MA. We provide training, mileage reimbursement, and delivery equipment. Volunteers, using their own automobile, can choose a day(s) to deliver meals. Delivery time is typically 10:30-12:00 noon. Most of our volunteers deliver meals once a week. CDC recommendations about social distancing have been integrated into our delivery practices.
We are currently recruiting:
1 Monday driver
1 Tuesday driver
fill-in volunteers to deliver meals when a regularly-scheduled driver is not able to drive
Delivery volunteers are required to have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, review training materials (remotely), pass a background check and provide proof of insurance and clean driving record. Children and students can volunteer with an adult 21 years of age or older who serves as the driver. Delivery volunteers may deliver as often as they like, but we ask for a minimum of once per week.
