Position: Community Liaison Intern Position
LOCATION: MADD Central Texas Affiliate Office or Work from Home during Covid-19 Pandemic

General Description: Responsible for the accuracy of Administrative assignments with the department, including typing of correspondence, input of spreadsheets and scheduling of appointments.
Essential Position Functions:
- Assists with answering the phone and respond to requests from the community and concerned citizens.
- Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate staff person.
- Provide general information about Victim Impact Panels and provide Victim Impact Panel receipts
- Assist with Community Service Program
- Follow- up and engage MADD volunteers to further MADD’s mission.
- Conduct outreach activities relevant to the affiliate.
- Coordinate outreach events, health and community fairs with community partners
- Set up and distribute MADD materials
- Support Program Specialist
- Assist and provide Power of Youth/ Power of Parents presentations
- Community Outreach activities
- Law Enforcement Outreach activities
- Law Enforcement Recognition activities
- Assist with events and presentations
- Help with other MADD events/activities as assigned (Walk Like MADD, Jingle Bell Run, TOOFS)
QUALIFICATIONS: An interest in issues of community activism and the criminal and civil justice system, victim services, and underage drinking prevention.
TIME COMMITMENT: 20-40 hours a week.
LENGTH OF COMMITMENT: A minimum of one semester. Summer and year-long internships available.
BENEFITS: Unpaid.
