Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles is a small, non-profit used furniture store that supports programs for self-determination in the African / Black community. We've been here 31 years but need help to recover from the COVID shutdown!

We're looking for volunteers with photography experience or interest to take pictures of the new furniture inventory that comes in every day. Great pictures go a long way to selling the items! Selling more items means we can make a bigger difference in the community!

We are looking for volunteers to do at least one 2-hour shift per week from 10 am - 12 noon on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Volunteers could do more than one shift.

We unload new furniture at 10 am and we open to customers at 12 noon. So we have 2 hours to make sure all the new items are photographed and the pictures are downloaded to our marketing team.

Work with a fun team, meet new people and learn new skills. No experience is needed, we will train. Community service hours can be completed with us. Interested? Sign up today and we'll get you scheduled for a new-volunteer orientation.

1 Shift

  • morning / 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
This 2hour shift is available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Volunteers could do one day per week or more.
