- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
Moments Hospice needs volunteers to aid us in putting out Thank You Essential Worker Signs. Most volunteers groups can put out 40 per time in one territiory.
This is an inspiring volunteer opportunity that will give volunteers time to connect with community and thank them while taking pictures of the sign and the organization. Please see details below.
I will add the details here.
"Thank You Essential Workers" Sign Campaign
Purpose: To bring smiles and show gratitude to essential workers across the communities that Moments Hospice serves.
Target Placement Organizations: The following is a list of targeted locations and should be in surrounding communities of Moments Hospice branches and their customers. Target organizations include:
- Fire stations
- Police stations
- Blood/Plasma Donor locations (Red Cross)
- Delivery Truck Depots (UPS, USPS, FEDEX)
- Funeral Homes
- Community Health Centers
- Senior Agencies
- Home Health Agencies
- Gas Stations
- Pharmacies
- Local restaurants
- Local stores
- UPS
- Federal Express
Placement by: Volunteer Teams
Signs per Location: 1 - 4 signs, dependent on stretch of land where you can place them. Use best judgement.
Target Placement Location: 1 - along busiest roadside horizontally, so traffic from both ways can see, 2 - along entry way, where essential workers enter/exit their parking lot
Placement Logistics: Volunteer receives list of targeted locations from Moments Hospice Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteer makes live visits to organizations, asking for permission from local staff to put 2 signs out on their year. Volunteer also asks if they are willing to come outside to take a picture by their organization’s sign (so we know where they are from), and if they are willing for it to be on social media. Volunteer keeps track of where the signs are left and how many.
Script: "Hello, my name is XXX, a volunteer of Moments Hospice, a local hospice company. Moments Hospice would like to show our gratitude to your teams of essential workers by placing a "Thank you Essential Workers" and "Heroes Work Here" signs. We hope that this not only brings a smile to your employees faces, but also it shouts out to others the special work that you are all doing during these COVID-19 times." If Yes, "Thank you so much! Would you us taking a picture in front of your place? Would you mind coming out to hold the sign? Either way, we like to give a shout out to you on social media, if you are ok with that." If No to sign placement, "I understand. Please do pass on thank you from Moments Hospice for all that you and your teams are doing!"
Pictures: As above, please take pictures at every opportunity to capture the signs, even if there is no one in the picture. Please try to get the organization’s sign in the picture so we know where you are. Please text or email pictures to Moments Hospice Volunteer Coordinator.
