Volunteer Opportunities in Sonoma County:

Warehouse: Our volunteers are vital, helping us nourish 100,000 children, seniors, and adults in Sonoma County. Warehouse volunteer activities include gleaning and packaging fresh fruits and vegetables for individuals and families throughout our community, assembling grocery boxes for seniors in need, and sorting donated non-perishable foods for distribution throughout our service region. Please remember to wear closed-toed shoes, bring a bottle of water or 2, and if able, bring a bag of nonperishable food to further fight hunger in our community.

Monday-Friday

7am-9am | Rise & Shine!

10am-1pm | Perfect time to work up an appetite before lunch!

2pm-4pm | Spend the afternoon helping our community!

5pm-7pm(M-Th) | Finish your day strong!

Saturday 9am-12pm | Enjoy your weekend and help end hunger!



Kitchen Collective: Spend the day cooking with Chef! Join our team of culinary volunteers and assist Chef Don Nolan in transforming fresh, donated ingredients into complex, nutritious, on the go snacks! This opportunity requires a CA Food Handler certificate.

Food Connections Market: Come help organize and keep our shelves stocked in our Food Connections Market! Please remember to wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes, a bottle of water and dress in layers, the warehouse can get a bit chilly. This volunteer opportunity is located at the front of our building at 3990 Brickway Blvd, Santa Rosa. We are looking for a friendly volunteer as you will have some interaction with our partner agencies that come to shop. The ideal volunteer will be able to commit to a regular schedule a couple of times a week, be able to stand for 2 hours and lift up to 25 lbs. Closed-toed shoes are mandatory.

Distribution Site Volunteer: Volunteers are critical to ending hunger in our community. Every month we rely on their generous support, which would otherwise require the work of 45 full-time staff members. Spend a two or three-hour shift with friends, family, and colleagues and help feed our neighbors in need at a distribution near you!



Volunteer Opportunities in Lake and Mendocino Counties:

Distribution Site Volunteer: Volunteers are critical to ending hunger in our community. Every month we rely on their generous support, which would otherwise require the work of 45 full-time staff members. Spend a two or three-hour shift with friends, family, and colleagues and help feed our neighbors in need at a distribution near you!
