As a community-supported kitchen and pantry, our mission is to assist the people of the Pajaro Valley with nutritious food, education, and referrals in cooperation with other agencies. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have an increased need for regular volunteers, as many of our former helpers are now sheltering-in-place. We have simultaneously seen an increase in our community's need for support in getting a healthy meal, as many are experiencing changes in their employment and housing statuses. In this time of increased need, we are looking for help in the kitchen, preparing lunches and supporting the kitchen manager in all necessary tasks.
Help our experienced kitchen team prepare 100-120 lunches which we provide at no-cost to our guests every weekday.
We need 2 people per shift, Monday-Friday, from 8am-12pm, and 12-3pm.

Como cocina y despensa apoyada por la comunidad, nuestra misión es ayudar a la gente del Valle de Pajaro con alimentos nutritivos, educación y referencias en cooperación con otras agencias. Debido a la pandemia de COVID-19 en curso, tenemos una mayor necesidad de voluntarios regulares, ya que muchos de nuestros antiguos ayudantes ahora se están refugiando en el lugar. Simultáneamente, hemos visto un aumento en la necesidad de apoyo de nuestra comunidad para obtener una comida saludable, ya que muchos están experimentando cambios en su situación laboral y de vivienda. En este momento de mayor necesidad, estamos buscando ayuda en la cocina, preparando almuerzos y apoyando al gerente de cocina en todas las tareas necesarias.
Ayude a nuestro experimentado equipo de cocina a preparar 100-120 almuerzos que proporcionamos sin costo a nuestros huéspedes todos los días de la semana.
Necesitamos 2 personas por turno, de lunes a viernes, de 8 a.m. a 12 p.m. y de 12 a 3 p.m.

Founded in 1989, Loaves and Fishes is a community-based organization dedicated to alleviating hunger among working low-income families, farmworkers, and elderly, disabled, and homeless individuals of the Pajaro Valley. We help sustain the lives of thousands of individuals by assisting them with nutritious food, education, and referrals in cooperation with other agencies. We envision a Pajaro Valley community in which all people have access to healthy food and the other necessities of life. We are committed to working collaboratively to develop a healthier, more food-secure community through direct service and advocacy.
